St Cecilia was born to a wealthy family. Her father promised her hand in marriage, but she had already made her vow to Christ. She convinced her new husband to let her keep her promise and he was converted to Christianity, along with his brother. All three were martyred for their Faith.

I am always fascinated by talk of virtues. There are different lists of virtues…
the theological virtues and the moral virtues in our Catechism
and different authors have proposed different lists of virtues, like the
Flying and swimming and snorkelling and celebrating…20 years!
I know! TWO big trips in just a couple of weeks! Bill and I were away for the last week in sunny Curacao, celebrating our 20th Anniversary! We wandered around the island, relaxed and celebrated…just the TWO of us!
